Re: Reply: [rti4empowerment] Re: VERY IMPORTANT GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear WEDS

Best wishes.

I don't have access to the  member lists of the YGs you mention, so cannot comment on your email. Your name would have been added to these groups by the owners/mananagers of the corresponding googlegroups.

For my own part, I can only say that since you were not a member of RTI_India-YG, I did not add you to RTI_India-GG when we created the backup.

It is entirely the prerogative of the owner/moderator of the individual group to retain/expel/gag members. Hence you are still on this group. However, as a federation of e-groups I daresay we have common rules/regulations - prime among which is cross-posting. This rule is enforced/evolved after a poll of members and is necessary for technical purposes to avoid our groups being tagged as SPAMMERS and to ensure that message posts reach our members.

Dear Mr Peter

I quite agree that Mr WEDs is creating a mess and is back to the same tricks he was expelled from Humjanenge for. (such as massively crossposting).

On behalf of the RTI Unity project it is important to clarify exactly what the objectives are.

1) RTI is for citizens to use, not NGOs, so-called activists and other forms of harami pondscum.

2) To allow the citizens to express themselves freely (and acknowledging the relevant Constitutional provisions in this regard) we now have 4 primary e-groups, each with a definite purpose.

a) HumJanenge-googlegroup : A mass group for rapid / wide RTI information dissemination. Frequency of posting to this group is now strongly regulated (300 posts per month)

b) RTI4empowerment-googlegroup : A mass group for discussion on national issues, not necessarily RTI only. High Traffic is OK.

c) RTI_India-yahoogroup : A specialist group for high level RTI discussion. To conduct polls etc. and other things not possible on googlegroups. Very low message traffic.

d) RTI_India-googlegroup : A backup group for RTI_India-YG

There are 6 or 7 active moderators for these groups, each and every one of whom has cut his teeth on the "RTI_India" group's core philosophy.

The fact of the matter is that 2 other old RTI e-groups (HJ-YG and RTI4EMP-YG) have become totally corrupted and rendered into 1 person shows. The moderators of those groups have  secret vested interests inimical to RTI movement. These shall come out in time.

With this background the moderators/owners of RU family egroups are clear that we only want on our groups clean, pure, honest citizens with a deep commitment to RTI. Our groups are open to everyone to join and participate in, including persons in Govt and also NGOs etc, all that we ask is that our few rules/regulations be respected and adhered to. Each of these rules is well publicised and known to all members and is UNIVERSALLY APPLICABLE - ie we are both democratic and secular and transparent. All message posts are in public domain and readable even without membership. We do not CENSOR Or MODERATE POSTS which are relevant to the stated objectives of the individual groups.

Hence to maintain our secular democracy, if we see habitual scofflaws like WEDS thumb their noses at the rules and encourage others to violate our rules, we (the list owners) are clear that they shall all be expelled / gagged.

PS: Insofar as affiliation with political parties go, I can vouch that all senior members of RU project are above politics / apolitical. The concerned individual shall clarify his comment appropriately.
