This media nexus thread for example clearly exposes connections between say NDTV (which sponsors rtiawards) and Harsh Mander (member NAC transparency workingroup) and DMK etc.
The thread on Aruna Roy's religion now seems to be getting focussed (after a long take-off) on religious / atheistic / communistic criterias to become a member of NAC which is seen as the mother/father/brother/sister ('mai baap') of RTI in India.
There is another angle, as the previous poster said, Aruna Roy is a member of this list, so is Harsh Mander, and so many others. They know very well that many member sof this group have a different take on RTI Rules from their own (NCPRI's). Yet is there any attempt by them to take the views of all stakeholders before writing to DoPT on the draft Rules.
SDS has written about the 20 crores Bunker Roy gets. I'm sure he will have source(s) to back it up. I have my own pet grievance - who wrote the so-called NAC reply to DoPT ?? why our old Google financed friend Mr Shekhar Singh on his little Google gifted/funded laptop. Now its perfectly OK by me if Shekhar wants to object to RTI Rules like a normal citizen & doyen of RTI movement. But when Google (which is the big daddy of Information, like Shekhar is the big daddy-O of RTI) finances his lobbying to waive off the 250 word limit so that Google sponsored spies can have the free run of India's digitized records and resources them I have serious differences with my friend.
Why do I support the 250 word limit. Because if we do not have such a limit then Digital PIRATES like Google via their thieving networks (like NCPRI) will walk off with all India's accumulated traditional knowledge which is being digitised at TAXPAYERS expense..
Do you think that NAC was interested in the draft RTI Rules in the first place. NEVER !! Go through their MoM's. RTI was never a priority for them till GOOGLE (via Shekhar Singh) made it a priority. Do you know how much money Google pays Mr Shekhar Singh OFFICIALLY (and Mr Habibullah really ought to have recorded this figure in his order) --> the figure runs into crores of rupees. AND THESE FOREIGN FINANCED PEOPLE DARE TO SPEAK FOR THE PEOPLE OF INDIA ???
Ask yourself one question my friend. Why do Aruna Roy, Harsh Mander. N.C.Saxena etc not take a paise in salary from Govt. Is it because they are pimping parasites with independent sources of income with all the free time in the world, or because we the people of India could get them prosecuted under the law of the land ?

Perhaps the topics and messages are not so good nowadays like they used to be in his other RTI group the RTI_INDIA, but we can safely put that to the size of this group and having to manage wider spectrum of views and opinions.
Whatever I read in newspapers or internet on RTI, the news is slanted towards some people who are projected as RTI experts or RTI activists by NDTV, CNN etc. As Sharma sir has emailed, the whole media is bought off and in bed with each other and politician class. Real India does not exist for them or they think that they are real India. It is only on the groups like HUMJANNEGE that we get a different perspective on RTI and the personalties behind RTI.
Sharma sir is bang on target that media declared champion of RTI Aruna Ray must not hide anything. She is member of this list. Harsh Mander is member of this list. They are all member of NAC. Maybe they are public officers also. They should come clean. If Aruna Ray gets 20 crors each year from foreigners then citizens should know their assets and IT returns also. Why are these particulars not on website of the NAC under sec. 4 ?
Sharma sir please post more information on these traitors, especially on Dr. Naresh Saxena.
