Re: [rti4empowerment] SHORTCOMINGS IN THE COMPLAINT REGISTRATION FOR SPEED POSTS

In our present system
when people are paid for not working
why they should and will work
our Postal department is also one in the system

Hello Sir,
I too have had a bad experience with the Postal Dept.  I understand how the website works or rather doesn't work.  Only positive is that I got the Corrupt Postman transferred because he had vested interests with my immediate neighbours, against whom I had used RTI.

I used the aforesaid Website to lodge Complaint at National Level because one (only one honest Sr. Postmaster) gave me the internal info that the Authorities don't care about the Complaints of the Public, unless there is some monetary stuff (gain/loss) involved.  I got fed up because of their procrastinating the issues, thereby the officials get transferred and in the end, nothing positive happens.

If you can fix them thro' RTI, good luck to you.  If you are residing in Bangalore, I can give the details of the locations from where the Postal Dept. works.

SHORTCOMINGS IN THE COMPLAINT REGISTRATION FOR SPEED POSTS

Citizens generally send RTI applications by post and in case the delivery particulars of posts are not traceable on the India Post website, wants to register complaint about the delayed or non-delivery of post.

2.       On India Post website, there is a complaint registration form under heading feed back.   I want to know if any of us has ever been successful in the registration of his complaint using the form as for over last six months, I have not been successful in that therefore this form seems to me an eye-wash and sham by the postal department.

3.       On 2.2.2011, delivery particulars of one speed post sent by me on 2.2.11 and four speed posts sent on 7.2.11 are not available on the India Post website (speed post tracking). All these speed posts were sent from Dwarka, Sector 6 post office having PIN Code No. 110075. Their details are as under:

4.       When I tried to register a complaint for the aforesaid speed posts using complaint registration form, I could not submit the complaint to the postal department as I kept receiving one message after the other telling me about the shortcoming in the details being sought to be submitted by me.

5.       I request you to try to register a complaint about any of the mail (may be aforesaid mail) and inform me about the result.  If you also fail in your attempt, I shall file an RTI to postal department asking about the number of complaints received by it through this complaint registration form during a particular period. This will make the system effective for the public. If any enlightened member can suggest any other remedy too, I shall be grateful for the same and all the members of this blog will stand benefitted.

6.       This is for the benefit for all of us – public as well are RTI applicants.
