Dear Col Johar,

Each State as well as Center has its own set of Rules for the amount of fees to be to be accompanied along with the RTI application, First Appeal & Second Appeal respectively.

For the State of Maharashtra, the MRTI Rules, 2005 has prescribed Rs. 10/- for RTI application, Rs. 20/- for First Appeal & Rs. 20/- for Second Appeal whereas for Complaint u/s. 18 no fees have been prescribed and as such it is free.

Please find attached MRTI Rules, 2005 along with this post. Please go through Annexure A, B & C on the page no. 3, 4 & 5 of the same, for the prescribed application and appeal formats as well as fees.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Sunil.
