Re: [HumJanenge] Incorrect records = lame-duck Army Chief

Dear Generals, Colonels, Sainiks and other Admirals of the fleet etc (Retd.),.

I presume that all our members agree that INSTITUTION of the Indian Army is not under our "friendly fire" (which we intend to reserve for netas, babus etc.) ???

There could be many reasons as to how a wrong date of birth got into
the records.  That is not the issue. The issue is how two date births
could run simultaneously to suit situations of choice.  It could be
unintentional mistake. In any case Lt Gen Digvijay Singhs version has
no rationale. As Prem Gaba has correctly brought out,  if the correct
date of birth is 10 May 1951, he is not eligible to enter NDA. This
explains everything.

We the veterans does not get any sadistic pleasure in analyzing it as
Gen DV Singh implied as veterans have no concern with COAS.I am not
aware of his coming  to the rescue of the hapless veterans when they
are grilled by the Bureaucrats.  Nor the 90 year old widow
Pushpavvanthi who has been getting a pension of only Rs.80/-  seems to
have received in help. Please remember that she might have approached
everyone for some assistance since 1967, I don't think any COAS
bothered about her. Even now , the COAS cannot plead that he is
ignorant of  the Ministry of Defences affidavit to the Supreme Court
that Ms Pushpavanthy's claim is false and her pension is not Rs.80/-
but  Rs.16320/- pm  when the COAS is fully aware that such an
affidavit cannot be  correct as she got Rs.16320 only now in
consequent to 6th Pay Commission and her complaint pertaining to
period decades back..What has the COAS done on Supreme Court orders of
8-3-2010 granting arrears of rank pay worth lakhs of rupees to
veterans  and it is stopped by government ? Can't the COAS tell the
MoD that the government is not giving the veterans anything new but
only giving back the amount of rank pay  with half the interest the
government  had already gained withheld and not giving any fresh booty
as the bureaucates made the government to believe..  What I meant was
the veterans have no obligation to COAS as he does not appear to have
any concern with the Veterans. I doubt whether he entertain any
grievence petetion from veterans.
