Re: [HumJanenge] Kejriwal - A SHORT BIOGRAPHY IN COTROVERSY

Intelligent people discuss "issues/causes" and ordinary ones bicker about "people/personalities".
The quality of forum, and utility thereof depends upon the quality of objective-oriented traggic and not on the quality of mud-slinging.
On various fora I keep reminding esteemed colleagues about the very purpose of investing our precious time and energy on the fora, which is NO,REPEAT NO,chat room for gossip-mongers.
There is virtually a Divine purpose for achieving something great, that we all love close to our heart. In this case, its use of RTI Instrument for achieving directly/indirectly great future for for all of us and for our nation.
Everyone needs to pause a while before feeling tempted to key in any stuff,in a hurry,or in retaliation,or in just fulfilling one's whims and fancies, whether the stuff passes the litmus test of OBJECTIVE-ORIENTATION or not. That sort of discipline, ingrained slowly, but surely would, in times to come, impart dignity to the forum, and pride to the contributors/participants.
I also wish to reiterate:
Decency is as much part of candour,as discretion of valour(a la Shakespeare)
I hasten to add my easy conceptualisation of all Info related Statuates globally.
RTI for:
Better governance(policy formulation etc at macro level)
Better management(organisational functioning ,at mid level)
Better operation(service delivery at micro level)
Not all participant are involved,or interested in action at all levels.Normally can't be.One can graduate from operational level to higher ones with enormous experience and knowledge, realising that SWOT analysis etc would be required to to be done in understanding the info recd.At Organisational level one could choose specific departmet/sub-unit or even corrupt person-specific for doing seriour work as often slogging is needed and perseverence is the necessary virtue there for successful action.Grouos with better mastery of technology and support of legal acumen find it easier to deliver than those just working with "wild enthusiasm".
Dear colleagues with decades of serious work in anti-corruption arena and in RTI related fields(we wanted it initially Duty to Inform Act.,twent yrs ago),I,m inclined to think positively with result-orientation bent of mind and not just get involved in a casual manner.Hence the need for this long post.

Dear Guptaji

1) I strongly support you in your expressed desire to form your own group to publicise a particular point of view. If you wish to form a group where only Gangu Telis are allowed then so be it.

2) I am given to understand that you are consistently the 2nd highest contributoir to this group. If you wish to leave it is your choice, nobody has stopped you from leaving nor do we censor your emails.

3) The point I fail to understand is that when Mr Kejriwal is a member of this group who follows the messages posted keenly and occassionally contributes too, why other people must come to his defence. A similar thing happened last month when some well wishers of Mr Shailesh Gandhi happened to dispute (offlist) some remarks made on this group concerning certain companies proviously owned by SG, I conveyed the information available with me to them and have heard no more in the matter

Sometimes, it appears to me that the objective of a very few members on this group, including Shri Sarabjit Roy, is to defame all who matters.  These members rarely contribute something worthwhile while flood mails criticizing the members of civil societies, others who are dedicated for some cause.  Such members always refuse to recognize good working being done by them but catch hold of small mistake rightly or wrongly detected by them.  Therefore, I feel need of a new group with the members having positive approach wherein membes with vicious minds will not be allowed.

An old saying is "Kahan Raja Bhoj, Kahan Gangu Teli".
