[HumJanenge] Say no to crackers

Dear All,
Please take a stand. Say no to crackers. Help in spreading the massage to stop the noise and air pollution. Bursting fire crackers and expressing happiness on Diwali or any occasion is irrational and foolishness. It is very insensitive for any civilized society to burst fire crackers. It is useless way of celebration. No one is allowed to do criminal wastage of money. Fire crackers are adding fuel in burning issue of Global warming and climate change, it is related to child labour and exploitation of labour. How can we celebrate Diwali in this change era without any new thought process to it. Please do think. We all need oxygen and no is having any right to pollute it. I had send a letter to Anna Hazare raising some questions on his blindly accepting the supporters bursting firecrackers after his arrival at Ralegaonsiddhi. Then he himself set ablaze Ravana effigy which was full of firecrackers. I had requested him to declare that bursting firecrackers is itself a corruption. But till today Annaji Hazareji has not even bothered to reply my letter. The person who sends letters to PM CM or any big politician and expects reply from them has failed to reply to my letter is sad for me. Mahatma Gandhi used to reply all letters unlike this new limited and self declared avatar of Mahatma Gandhi.

So on this Diwali be rational - shake hands with nature- say no to crackers.

Wish you all a very happy and meaningful Diwali!

I also support the RTI Act in its present form. Any change is meant to protect the corrupt or the potential corrupt person. No well meaning government will take up such an exercise.

National PPP Policy 2011 - Draft for Consultation

PPP Projects Viz RTI Act 2005

During RTI Convention 2010, it was opined that 'Public Private Partnerships' (PPP) projects ought to be under RTI Act 2005.

In this context on 04 January 2011, Shri Satyananda Mishra the Hon'ble CIC had written a letter to Shri Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission.

The said CIC letter was responded by Shri Montek Singh Ahluwalia on 14 March 2011.

Both these letters can be read on CIC website on following links

   http://cic.gov.in/IMP-Letters/Letter-To-DyChairman-on-PPP.pdf

Media had given adequate coverage to above letters.

Draft of National PPP Policy 2011 Promulgated by Ministry of Finance

On 27 September 2011, the Ministry of Finance has promulgated "Draft of PPP Policy 2011" and solicited views / suggestions from all stakeholders by 15 October, 2011. The Min Of Finance circular can be perused on Link below:

  http://pppinindia.com/draftpolicy.php

The National draft PPP Policy 2011  can also be downloaded (PDF) from Link :

 http://pppinindia.com/pdf/draftnationalppppolicy.pdf

My Take :

Since huge amount of 'Public Assets' are used by the Centre and State Governments for contracting PPP Projects... It is but natural that People act as Watchdogs to ensure accountability in the expenditure of PPP projects V/s benefits accrued to society at large.

Therefore while signing contracts the Centre & State Governments must ensure that the PROJECT comes within the perview of RTI Act 2005.

Now its Our Call:

PLEASE SEND YOUR VIEWS/SUGGESTIONS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

Best
