Re: [HumJanenge] a letter to information comissioner orissa on dealyed disposal of cases

Dear Mr Pani

1) I request you to kindly not post messages to this group which are also posted to other RTI mailing lists.

2) Your point on speed of disposal / existence of CIC/SIC is very well taken. FYI, when India's self proclaimed "fastest information commissioner" is now taking 4 years to settle cases, you have a very long wait ahead of you.

Subject- Pendency of my complaint before information Commissioner for
more than two years

Dear Sir,

I had filed the Second Appeal before this commission on 12th February
2009 against Superintendent Of Police, Khurda on the ground that after
I received a letter from Concerned PIO for depositing the cost of
information that is Rs27.00, I have deposited the same through money
order and then after on 4th November 2008, I received a letter from
PIO that the information may be treated as NIL.

My Second Case is a complaint case before this Hon'ble Commission on
12th August 2009 against the PIO of PCCF, Wildlife, Bhubaneswar for
rejecting my application because my photo in the identity proof was
not visible.

AS of date I have not received any information/intimation regarding
the hearing of my cases which were already more than 30 months and in
between many changes might have occurred and importance of that
information will not carry as important as it would have carried two
years back. Through this letter I want to question the necessity of
Information Commission Office when the very purpose and objective gets
frustrated.

Now I am interested to know how many years your office will take to
dispose these applications and certainly will be interested to know
what steps your office has taken to expedite the pending cases and is
there any time bound chart prepared for disposal of cases.

I would be happy to get an immediate response on my present letter
including the status of my pending cases in the commission office.
Please communicate in my present address which is A-70, Sahid Nagar,
Bhubaneswar as I have changed my earlier address . For all
correspondence the present address may be noted. Also will be happy if
can be communicated my E-mail as mentioned in the top.

Regards

Sankar Prasad Pani
