Re: [HumJanenge] A very big Mischief by Insdian Express

Dear Brig. Chhikara

I don't think you fully appreciate the dimensions of how subverted /
incestuous / nepotistic / sold out the media is.. Try researching the
family connections of NDTV's major correspondents and you'll figure
out why they get first crack at every Military story. Only Barkha Dutt
can carry a private satphone into a war zone and get a pliable CoAS to
obligingly airbrush away her treason.

HIT these cockroaches now and answer questions later.

Sarbajit
.
Who is trying to do the Army Down?

Or

Is it an attempt to do the nation down?

A journalist friend spoke to me a short while ago and was surprised
that I had not heard the
biggest story in the Press, today. What is the story and whose story
is it , I asked. It is a story in
the Indian Express – the entire front page, by Shekhar Gupta. My first
reaction was that I am
not surprised as there is this Shekhar Gupta in the story. But then I
got onto the internet and
read the so called scoop.

The following points are made in the story :-

1. Was it an authorized move? Before telling him why let me ask a
simple question. Does
this man Shekhar know how Army units remain capable of mobilizing quickly. Every
Army unit has a loading table and a mobilization plan which they must
rehearse every
so often without notice . Companies do it at the discretion of the
company commander,
as do battalions and brigades at respective levels. The General
officer Commanding of
our division once told me at dinner to mobilize my regiment. We were
supposed to be
on a predetermined notice . I rang up my adjutant to do it. Next
minute I was told that I
was dead . The Unit mobilized and deployed in the given area 70 kms
away. Early next
morning the Gen Officer Commanding took me along to check if the unit had moved
in battle worthy state. The second in command had taken over in my absence and
did a good job as expected of a second in command. No vehicles broke
down en route
and all weapons and equipment was serviceable and available. We were not found
wanting because I had diligently rehearsed all ranks for the job
without ever seeking any
authorization from any one. And, Is the Army part of India's defence
set up or not?

2. Why move in the direction of Delhi? What is so great about the
Direction . Can units
move only away from Delhi. By that logic units located in Delhi can
never test their
mobilization capability.

3. Why do it on the day when the Army chief was to move his petition
in the Supreme
Court. Listen Mr Gupta; Do you really think V K Singh is nuts. Will
any chief in his right
senses time it so obviously to suit the Guptas?

4. The Ministry of Defence got terribly alarmed at the movement. Who told Gupta?
Some one in the Ministry? Such a person would be as much a strategic analyst as
Shekhar gupta perhaps is. You are in good company Mr Gupta. You have
published what
your benefactors wanted you to publish. The Government of India as
