[HumJanenge] Need for transparency in KG D6 gas block

N.S.Venkataraman

To

Humjanenge

The steep fall in  the performance and drop in production of natural gas from the  KG D6 gas block off the Andhra coast , which has resulted in the loss of opportunities to the country . is a matter of grave concern.  Several  chemical and  power projects in Andhra Pradesh  that were implemented based on the estimated gas output from the basin are now idling , causing loss of several thousand crores of rupees of investment. Substantial money are now being invested in laying gas pipelines based on KG D6 gas block output to several locations including Tamil Nadu.  Many plans have gone awry.

This project should not be  viewed as the failure of a private organisation or as a mere sick project.  On the other hand, we need to realise that it has caused a serious set back to the national industrial and economic growth.

The Reliance Industries has been asking the government  of India  to increase the price of natural gas , which the government has refused. Some people even suspect that the fall in production may be due to the refusal of the government to increase the price of natural gas, though there is no evidence for it in the public domain so far. If the government were to rise the price of natural gas owing to the pressure of Reliance Industries , then a scam of
multi crores of rupees would be suspected.

As a chemical engineer with over four  decades of experience in India and abroad, I do not believe that such drastic fall in gas output within a few months of operation  will happen in the normal course. In the present circumstances, the real facts are known only to the operator , due to lack of access for media or any other agency to scrutinise.   The matter has to be investigated very carefully by technically competent agency.

In any case, some steps have to be urgently taken to save the situation. The government of India should take over the KG D6 gas block  urgently from private promoters who have expressed their inability to  operate at targeted level and the government should invite international bidders to take it over. If a global tender would be floated, I am sure that excellent response would be received and the government would be able to restore the KG D6 gas block to the level of original expectations.

KG D6  gas block is a national asset and the country should not be made to suffer due to the failures of a private sector organisation, however big it may be.
A technical auditing by competent people is vitally necessary in this matter to ensure transperancy in the dealings of the private organisation as well as the government of India.

This is a wonderful method. However, Anna has cocooned himself. I had written similarly many times to IAC for Anna to come out and field his candidates before its too late. We must find a very reliable person to go to his address and council him for a week. Then see what he says. Same with Baba Ramdev. he's a willing horse.

Dear friends,

Will the method adopted by Kejriwal work? How many corrupt politicians is he going to expose?  Won't it take him decades to deal with thousands of thieves. What would be the result anyway. Exposure inpublic will bring about nothing. Will they get punished?  Who will punish them?.  True, their image will be tarnished.  But they couldn't care less about it.  They need money and they have it.

The present method followed by IAC will not put an end to corruption.Never.  IAC is only barking at a dry tree.  I feel the only method is for Anna Hazaare to enter politics, fight the next 2014 election with him as the chair person., capture power  all by himself and clean the stable.  He can deal with the corrupt according to his way then.

I am sure he can corner around 500 Lok Sabha seats if he travels the length and breadth of the counry in the next two years or so promising the people a clean and corruption free  administration  and make the quality of life of every citizen to a top order. An Indian will enjoy his rights as a citizen.  No one could rob it from him. Thisis what he needs to promise in his political speech all over theland. There are more and will be revealed later. Every Indian will feel proud then.  Today, we as Indians are a nobody.  We cannot excercise any right; for that matter we don't even know what our rights are. This should be assured to the people.  People will believe him because he has a halo round his head.

He is worried about the finance.  I had suggested that anyone wanting to join his party, which may be called HONEST PEOPLE's party(HPP) would have to become a member by paying Rs. 50 per year. He must start on a recruitment drive and it won't be difficult to muster around 10 lakh members to start with;  the servicemen and exservicemen would be the prime members and his backbone as well.  The service personnel will gladly join.  His first round of collection may go up to Rs. 10 crore which is enough for his team to travel round. Remember, this is how NT Ramarao overthrew the giant congress in AP and  came to  power with absolute  majority some 30 years back. Why can't such a revolutionary wave take place on an all India basis?  The voters are fed up both with ther  Congress and BJP.  They are looking around for an alternative.  Where is that alternative?  HPP would be that party.

I had made this suggestion to Anna but I wonder if his team had  put up my mail to him.  Certainly not. Would you please try and persuade him to lend his name for a political upheaval. He needs to be the father of the party and not head it as a future prime minister.

Let us goad Anna to come out of his shell and form the party.  This is a better tool to fight corruption ad eliminate it than the one being followed now.

If you agree with my suggestion, please go ahead and set the ball rolling. You are welcome to exchange notes with me.

Re: [HumJanenge] Put NGOs under RTI scalpel , Sandhya Jain

      Dear Sir,
This concept of NGOs is not only foreign but submerged in money making racket. As you can realize these NGOs have been discredited by foreign grants in the form of awards (under different names) are received by their officials only when they show some anti-Hindu streak in their declarations and activities.
The fact is that this concept (and functioning) of NGOs is a fallacy in that it has basic aim of continuity only and nothing more. Since to exist (with sanction of authorities), it needs some Charitable cause. It collects huge (tax Free to the payers) donations but out of the donations that they get, it is up to them to spend on that cause. The example of Parivartan as given in the article by Ms Sandhya Jain illucidates this point quite clearly. Many spend huge (and disproportionate?) amounts on Administration (as well as may be liaison) leaving marginal amount for the cause. A few years back there was an article in TIME News magazine wherein they had pointed out some NGOs spending merely about 10% of the donations received. The directors get fat salaries and move in aeroplanes, expenses are done in advertisements as well as postages etc, leaving bare minimum for the CAUSE. TIME at the end had advised the readers to stop giving donations to such NGOs. But the fact remains that Organisations are established for long period (even immortality). Surely the office bearers must put in adequate efforts in growth of the Organization. To motivate them, they have to be paid handsome salaries and perks. The result is as described by TIME as well as by Ms Sandhyajee.
But the system itself being faulty, there does not appear to be any way for its improvement.

Put NGOs under RTI scalpel

Sandhya Jain

The $50,000 Magsaysay Award was recently conferred upon Arvind
Kejriwal, a former Indian Revenue Service officer campaigning for the
Right to Information (RTI). Though several Indians have received this
prize from Philippines, not many citizens are aware that this is
actually an American award for Asians. Set up by the Rockefeller
Brothers Foundation, most of the purse comes from the Ford Foundation.

The citation does not say when Mr Kejriwal resigned from service, but
mentions his association with Parivartan, an entity campaigning for
RTI. Mr Kejriwal was in service when he was with Parivartan, which is
not a registered NGO (a Society, Trust, or S.25 Company). Under income
tax, it is an Association of Persons (AoP), a coming together of
persons with a profit-motive so that members can share its income,
unlike in a registered society. The Parivartan website conceals its
AoP, barring one Manish Sisodia (part-time volunteer, founder-member
and treasurer), and terms of association, yet demands a level of
transparency from governmental agencies that is not in vogue anywhere
in the world.

In a timely study on some of India's most exalted conscience-keepers,
Radha Rajan and Krishen Kak argue for public scrutiny of those who
hold society or government to ransom, usually at the behest of foreign
sponsors (NGOs, Activists & Foreign Funds. Anti-Nation Industry, Vigil
Public Opinion Forum, 2006). Kak's meticulous research shows that in
FY 2002-03, Parivartan showed receipts for Rs 2,02,489 (Rs 2,01,889
are donations); the total expenditure is Rs 1,88,164, of which
salaries take Rs 1,14,000. The only 'programme cost' is Rs 35,945 on a
'jan sunwai' public hearing), and the rest is standard administrative
expense.

However, Parivartan claims its annual fixed costs are approximately Rs
six lakh, and programme costs are "partly funded through collections
from the community itself including poor people and the shortfall is
made good by raising funds from outside". Its website does not say if
these funds are included in the receipts statement and if receipts are
issued for small sums given by poor people. Yet it wants to make the
Government of India accountable to itself on behalf of the "people of
India".

Radha Rajan argues that many high-profile NGOs serve America's vision
of a post-Cold-War world order. Hence they advocate 'communal harmony'
in India even as jihad batters the Hindu community, and promote
'peace' with Pakistan despite its formidable terrorist infrastructure.
They are essentially political activists using social activism as a
mask for their crusade against an independent nationalist India. Thus
they are invariably anti-Government of India, anti-military,
anti-police, anti-nuclear, and, of course, anti-Hindu.

America uses the Magsaysay and other awards to legitimise its
loyalists. Indian Magsaysay awardees include Mahasweta Devi (1997),
Aruna Roy and Martin Macwan (2000), Sandeep Pandey (2002), Nirmala
Deshpande and Admiral Ramdas (2005). Then, Praful Bidwai and Achin
Vanaik received the Sean Macbride Peace Prize (2000) and Arundhati Roy
the Sydney Peace Prize (2004). In neighbouring Nepal, journalist
Bharat Koirala got the Magsaysay in 2002 for unleashing the anti-Hindu
process there. Today, a Christian Prachanda has taken over the country
by terrorising the effete political parties and the king is a virtual
prisoner.

Krishen Kak's expose of Harsh Mander (Scoring Against Paganism:
Untangling the Manderweb) is a warning to the Government about the
monetary subversion of serving officers by foreign regimes. In March
2002, Mander, an IAS officer, became an international celebrity when
he attacked the communal violence in Gujarat (after 58 Hindus were
burnt alive at Godhra) in an article in a leading newspaper. Feted in
the West, he claimed he had resigned from the IAS on moral grounds.

This was a deliberate falsehood, says Kak, as Mander was serving the
politico-communal agenda of ActionAid, his British employer. Mander
had managed a profitable deputation to ActionAid, getting part payment
in pound sterling in return for scuttling a government enquiry into
its communal agenda in India.

Managing to ward off moves to end his deputation, Mander took
voluntary retirement only on completing pensionable service. He sought
retirement benefits to the tune of upto a million rupees; the
Government stipulated that he cease working for ActionAid; he refused
and continued demanding retirement benefits. When Kak publicly
challenged the lie that he had resigned on moral grounds, Mander
quickly modified his rhetoric.

ActionAid's communal agenda may well be the inspiration for the UPA's
Sachar Committee, and shows how foreign agendas are wormed into the
topmost echelons of power. It recently initiated a study to sensitise
the public and civil society activists about "the dismal economic,
educational and social conditions of the Muslim masses". Of course,
ActionAid conducted no similar study about Hindu survivors in Pakistan
and Bangladesh.

ActionAid used Mander to connect over 300 voluntary agencies. Its
patronage extended to Aruna Roy of the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan
(MKSS) and National Campaign of People's Right to Information (NCPRI).
The MKSS takes foreign institutional support in kind to evade
reporting its funds under FCRA. The MKSS-approved Lok Shikshan
Sansthan states that FCRA money can be sent to its founder-NGO Prayas
or to the Roy-connected SWRC Tilonia "and it would be transferred to
our organisation's account." Very interesting!

Kak's research has uncovered an hitherto unknown entity patronised by
Mander-ActionAid. This is the "unstructured organisation", which
solicits public money but does not say if it is registered and how it
banks the money. Shabnam Hashmi's ANHAD (with Mander, KN Panikkar and
Shubha Mudgal) is one such body. So is the Aman Ekta Manch, Aman
Samudaya, Aman Jathas, Aman Pathiks. Mander's Aashray Adhikar Abhiyan,
funded by ActionAid, does not reveal the names of the core team of
eleven professionals, or its accounts.

The disturbing aspect of these unregistered unstructured organisations
is their complete lack of accountability or legal scrutiny regarding
foreign donations. Ex-IAS officers and ex-judges often provide
respectability and protection to such dubious bodies in return for
post-retirement sinecures. It is a vicious and dangerous circle.

Russia learnt the hard way that unmonitored West-funded NGOs triggered
the spate of revolutions in the former Soviet Republics and out them
under the scanner. The majesty of the Indian state cannot be
subordinated to hupny-tupny rabble-rousers funded by the West. The
Government should immediately bring all activists under the RTI
scalpel; this will literally scalp them.

Sir,

LET NOT THE POLITICAL SPACE BE OCCUPIED BY MUD SLINGING

It is sad that Indian political space is now being occupied by unsubstantiated allegations and vituperative language.  Certainly , the country's media space is not being occupied  by those who deserve the space  by their intellectual capability and credibility.

Mahatma Gandhi said that  a man of  truth  should also be a man of care. Those who claim to be honest should be able to prove by their behaviour and utterances that they are honest.Such honest people will not use vituperative and abusive language and will conduct themselves with dignity and confidence.

For heaven's sake, use of  counter productive abusive language should not be continued any longer.  Let everyone concerned in this "battle", go to the electorate and seek their opinion.  Certainly, the Indian electorate have shown enormous wisdom and maturity, much much more than the so called political leaders.  Every time , they have rejected the unworthy people and gone for the better within the choice available for them.

Let everyone talk about the economic policies, social issues  and give a firm assurance that they would be honest and truthful.  There is no need to throw mud on another person to prove they are better and in the process get the mud thrown back  at them. Indian voters deserve better and they  can see through the game of everyone.

Dear Taxi no. "One",
It seems everybody except you understands that India puts up
delegations of dignitaries from abroad in 5 star hotels and flies them

Dear friends and journalists.

subject says it all. @ 10:27 PM IST of 26.10.12 UPA Govt shut down
IAC-HQ "parallel" mailing list by misusing their agencies yet again to
organize massive spamming of IAC list. Hackers also wiped out all IAC

[HumJanenge] WHO WOULD ANSWER FOR GADKARI ?

Sir,

IS BJP A DEPARTMENT OF RSS

                            – WHO WOULD ANSWER FOR GADKARI ?

Many  are convinced  about the case built by visual media that Nitin Gadkari has been a dishonest business man.  Now, it would not serve the interest of probity in public life to have a person as the President of the national political party , whose credentials are deeply suspected.  All those who desire a corruption free India desire that Gadkari should resign or should be eased out from his position as President of BJP.

But,  it appears that the decision to retain or sack Gadkari would be taken by the RSS leadership and Gadkari has  camped  in Nagpur  for number of days where RSS headquarters is located. Many wonder whether BJP is totally under the leadership of RSS and whether it functions as a department of RSS.

The voters would desire that a political party should be accountable to the people and not to any other organization.  If BJP should be under the control of RSS, then it would be more honest for RSS   and  the leadership of BJP to say this in public instead of the present  arrangement which appears to be dubious.

Ensuring transparency in all dealings is a vital and most essential aspect to get the country rid of corruption.

Thanks

Re: [HumJanenge] Arvind Kejriwal's personal reply to Sh. Digvijay Singh

Dear mr. Kejriwalji, I vaguely remember there was one Mr. Sing who is alleged to have personally escorted the American chief of Bhopal Tragedy.   Is this the same person as Mr. Digvijay Singh or not.  Please educate me.  Regards, dwarakanthdm

Mr Digvijay Singh has invited me to answer some questions. The answers to the questions he has asked are all already with the government. Many of these are already public. To deflect attention from the issues again and again, questions are raised. Who is raising these questions? The same Digvijay Singh, who says Anna Hazareji is the agent of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The same Digvijay Singh who says the robbery of Robert Vadra and DLF are justified. The Digvijay Singh who is not willing to accept coal scam and 2G scams ever happened.

Because of these people, corruption, unemployment and crime is increasing. These same people who are responsible for all this to divert attention from these issues again and again tell you- I want to indulge in politics. To those covered in the IAC movement I say - we do not hide. We have all the answers to questions from those corrupt persons we are keeping unhappy.

On our website www.indiaagainstcorruption.org we have now placed Digvijay Singh's has many questions. Now the people have decided we should be answering their questions, and we shall do so.

[HumJanenge] Foxed by fake e-mail, IAC sends out a disclaimer

TO

info.indiaagainstcorruption@gmail.com

Hi

What I emailed about the taking down of Humjanenge's excluive mailing
list for public servants on instruction of Aruna Roy / Arvind
Kejriwal gang was confidential. We are hopeful it will be up and
running soon when the administrators unfreeze it.

Your group's work is being appreciated surely but surely. Here's a far
more balanced piece from FirstPost by Danish Raza
http://www.firstpost.com/politics/iac-imposter-slams-kejriwal-in-bulk-emails-sent-to-party-database-501029.html

The Hindustan Times is a Congress Party rag. I met the late
K.K.Birla-ji many times and he always said that his heart and his
paper was with the Congress though he met with everyone.

I shall be writing my own letter/email to Dr Gulshan Rai about the
abuse / misuse of NICnet resources to shut down citizen internet
groups / lists which are critical of individuals perceived as being
close to extra-constitutional power centres in the NAC. The State is
not the only grouping which can indulge in gutter cyber warfare.

Dear Sir,

Sub: Rejoinder to news report published in The Hindustan Times, New Delhi, edition on 24.10.2012 and also on the internet on 23.10.2012 titled as "Foxed by fake e-mail, IAC sends out a disclaimer" by anonymous HT Correspondent.

Please refer to the subject news report published by an anonymous correspondent. I say the impugned news story is substantially false, incorrect, biased and the correspondent  made no effort to contact the undersigned to provide a balanced and factually correct report.

Kindly take notice as under.

1) That your correspondent has published / implied that "India Against Corruption" movement is exclusively that of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal's faction. On behalf of the IAC ("India Against Corruption Collective"), I am directed to say that Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and volunteers working with him under the names and styles of Public Causes Research Foundation, Kabir, Parivartan etc. only form a small component of the IAC reform movement. It is pertinent to mention that the IAC was officially founded on 30.01.2011 at 1.00 PM (the day Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in Birla House) at a meeting at the Ram Lila grounds. The said meeting was convened by his Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar along with Swami Ramdev, Swami Agnivesh, Arch Bishop Vincent M Concessao, Kiran Bedi, Arvind Kejriwal, Anna Hazare and many other eminent personalities including Mr J.M.Lyngdoh, Mr Justice Santosh Hegde, etc.

2) That on 03.08.2012 Mr. Arvind Kejriwal's faction decided to separate from the IAC movement to form an as yet unnamed political party. It is pertinent to mention that a website "www.indiaagainstcorruption.org" was registered in the personal name of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal at around the time the IAC movement was formed in Jan 2011. His Holiness Sr Sri Ravishankar, Mr Justice Santosh Hegde, Kiran Bedi, Bishop Concessao and many other founders of the IAC movement have immedediately and publicly disassociated themselves with Mr. Arvind Kejriwal's decision. For instance kindly refer news report in The Indian Express of 04.08.2012 titled "Anger, scepticism within IAC over political leap" by their correspondent Abantika Ghosh.

3) That the URL of the IAC mailing list published in the report is incorrect. It was published by HT that the URL is "info.indiaagainstcorruption.org", whereas the correct URL is "https://lists.riseup.net/www/info/indiaagainstcorruption"
Kindly correct this immediately.

4) That pursuant to Mr. Kejriwal's decision to unilaterally indulge in adventurist activities which do not have the approval of IAC's founders or the general body, he and his followers have been indulging in a series of cyber hacking activities to shut down internet social groups and mailing lists which publish information exposing his corrupt and profiteering activities. For example kindly refer the news report in The Business Standard of 22.Sept.2012 titled "India Against Corruption assets caught in tug of war" by Sreelata Menon which clearly shows how Mr Kejriwal with the "connivance of a government agency" was able to illegally swallow the IAC Facebook page into his much small page. To almost everyone else in the IAC movement, it is clear that Mr.Kejriwal is a paid agent of the Government and his actions are not conducive to the long term objectives of the IAC movement.

5) That with the connivance of the same government agency, Mr. Kejriwal was also able to shut down, on 16.10.2012, an internet RTI mailing list titled "Humjanenge" having over 9,000 subscribers who were mainly public servants, and which list was stridently critical of Mr Kejriwal and his high level backers in the ruling NAC who have instigated Mr Kejriwal to split the highly successful IAC movement. Mr Kejriwal did this after a public spat between the Owner of Humjanenge mailing list and Smt. Aruna Roy on 13.Oct 2012 at the DRDO Bhawan at the 7th RTI National Convention of Information Commissioners.

6) That recently Mr Kejriwal's office sent an email to IAC HQ clarifying the position to some of the 27 queries posed to him by Mr. Digvijaya Singh concerning his personal affairs unconnected with the IAC. The same was reproduced faithfully on the IAC mailing list which is a private mailing list for IAC workers. It is pertinent to mention that the eminent journalist Ms. Sucheta Dalal, who is evidently privy to the said email, in an email published on the IAC mailing list has admitted as such and was dissatisfied that only last line therein was added by IAC HQ.  IAC HQ is aggrieved that Mr. Kejriwal is not prepared to stand by the email sent at 8:12 am from his widely known official email IAC ID "indiaagainstcorruption.2010@gmail.com" and is instead palming off 2 personal gmail IDs of his junior staff as official IDs of the IAC movement. The same is reprehensible and your anonymous correspondent seems to have swallowed and published Mr Kejriwal's version hook line and sinker.

7) That IAC HQ has reason to believe that Mr Kejriwal has retracted the contents of his office's email, the copy of which is retained by us, because immediately upon its coming into the public domain, the affected Humjanenge RTI mailing list shot off a statutory public grievance petition to the NAC concerning the role of Chairperson NAC, Aruna Roy and Mr. Pulok Chatterjee, referring to Mr. Kejriwal's statements.

8) That even the official spokesperson for Mr. Kejriwal's faction, Ms. Aswathi Murlidharan in her emails has not contradicted / disputed the contents of the published statements made by Mr Kejriwal to IAC HQ. She had only disputed that the IAC HQ mailing list was not an official one. We say this is part of a long term strategy of Mr. Kejriwal's faction to either take over IAC assets or when that fails to shut them down with assistance of Government agencies.

9) That after Mr Kejriwal's unethical and selfish actions in shutting down common internet resources, the IAC HQ was compelled to start an internet mailing list at the URL of para 3 because there was no other mailing list for the IAC's volunteers and the 'aam aadmi'. The mailing list has 7,000 genuine email IDs and will have over 30,000 email IDs of IAC volunteers very shortly. All emails circulated from there are archived in the public domain accessible at URL "https://lists.riseup. et/www/arc/indiaagainstcorruption"
However, many persons associated with Mr Kejriwal's faction have been circulating false, abusive and intimidatory emails to defame the larger IAC movement by palming off their emails as originating from the IAC mailing list.

10) That on 20.10.2012 the Hindustan Times published a full page article on Mr. Kejriwal titled "Anarchist or aam aadmi ?" by Varghese K George and Nagendar Sharma including a section on "Arvind's close aides". It is clear from your own paper's article that Mr. Kejriwal and his aides all originate from and have strong links in Uttar Pradesh. Mr Kejriwal's movement is controlled and run by the advocate father-son duo of Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan who are well known as linked to UP politicians and received favours from them. As such this tiny coterie are not representative of the pan-Indian IAC movement.

Accordingly, IAC HQ calls upon you to ensure that prominent and balanced news reports are published immediately to rectify and remedy the situation. In the alternative, the IAC will turn the matter over to counsel for further redress.

For any further clarifications kindly contact the undersigned at the official email ID of IAC HQ.

Re: [HumJanenge] Foxed by fake e-mail, IAC sends out a disclaimer

Hi

3 /r 4 things need to be quickly clarify about this news report today of the Hindustan Time

1) It specify "Arvind Kejriwal's IAC" is foxed. This is exactly what we are saying - Arvind's is not only IAC and Arvind & his few friends do not have any 'theka' over IAC movement or brand name.

2) The email ID HT has given is wrong / fake. The correct ID is "info.indiaagainstcorruption@gmail.com". This is a public ID of gmail and even Arvind faction's "official ID" are all gmail IDs.

3) Since this mailing list of IAC HQ was activated on 20.10.12 after in-principle approval on 18.10.12 from all IAC's eminent personalities  (including 2 former Chief Justice of India, religious leaders, police officers, diplomats etc), all emails of Arvind, Manish, Javed, Neeraj,  Preeti Sharma, Mayank Gandhi, Bibhav Kumar, and previous ID "indiaagainstcorruption.201@gmail.com" have been registered since day #1. The email files / database uploaded on 20.01.2012 are as given by IAC chapters only.  What were all these IAC(Arvind) people doing for 2 days ?

4) IAC HQ is going to file complaint to Press Council about objectionable reporting by Hindustan Times. This mailing list is an official mailing list of IAC. Actually it is the only mailing list of IAC where 'aam aadmi' can post !  All email IDs lists from local IAC chapters have been given to us except Arvinds including from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad etc. After that additional email list of media persons, activists  and  intellectuals have been give courtesy well wishers, within next week there will be 30,000 genuine email IDs on subscribed to this list. Everybody is cooperating in IAC movement except Arvind's faction.

5) It is a very sad day for IAC(Arvind) if his spokesperson are chaprasis like Bibhav Kumar. He should at least make his driver as spokesperson like Gadkari has.

OFFICIAL release from IAC HQ will follow.

If Arvind's spokesperson has to say anything, all their email ID on this list is working.

Arvind Kejriwal's India Against Corruption (IAC), which has successfully used the social media to strengthen its anti-graft movement over the past year and a half, found itself foxed by a fake e-mail address. Over the past few days, a mailing group — info.indiaagainstcorruption.org — had been sending e-mails purportedly on behalf of the IAC.

It even managed to generate a lively debate on the issue of 27 questions posed by Congress leader Digvijaya Singh to Kejriwal. One such mail, apparently sent by the IAC headquarters, dared Singh to make public the career details of Pulok Chatterji, principal secretary to the Prime Minister.

The IAC on Tuesday sent out a statement completely disowning the mailing group. "For the past 2-3 days, someone has been sending e-mails to our database from a fake ID… This is to clarify that mails from this email ID are not sent by the IAC," its spokesperson Aswathi Muralidharan said.

She said such mails should neither be treated as official nor should any press releases sent from it be taken note of.

"Kindly note that IAC will send its official mails and press releases from ash.ashwati2012@gmail.com and bibhavkumar@gmail.com," the IAC said in a statement.

Number of IAC volunteers had complained against the e-mail exchange, saying it was vitiating the debate.

The IAC was alarmed after some of the mails attributed to Kejriwal also found their way on this mailing group, which included use of offensive language and strong views, which actually were not used by him.

Re: [HumJanenge] Inida against corruption - a new approach

It seems and appears that each one is a "pithoo" of some other, in the political field and out to protect his/her one flank or the other.

What and how much can we protect ourselves from the murky leadership all over corrupt or UN-corrupt?!

Bregs.
Joy.

Subject: [HumJanenge] Inida against corruption - a new approach

[HumJanenge] Questions to Mayank Gandhi of IAC,Mumbai

QUESTIONS TO MR. MAYANK GANDHI ON REMAKING OF MUMBAI FEDEARTATIO(ROMF)

POINT:

MAYANK GANDHI SAYS THAT IN 2007 WE FORMED A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION CALLED THE REMAKING OF MUMBAI, HEADED BY JUSTICE BHAGWATI AND NARAYAN MURTHY AND EX-MUNICIPAL COMMISSIONER GIRISH GOKHALE AND MANY OTHER PROMINENT PERSONALITIES.

Q1) WHY MOST OF THE PERSONALITIES DENY THAT THEY GAVE THEIR CONSENT TO ROMF?

Q2) WHO WAS FUNDING THE NGO ROMF AND WHY?

POINT:

MAYANK GANDHI QUOTES: "THERE IS A NEED FOR CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT RATHER THAN INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT, WE WORKED VERY CLOSELY WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF MAHARASHTRA, AND WE CHANGED SOME OF ITS POLICIES. WE HAVE BROUGHT IN THE CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT IN THE NEW HOUSING POLICY IN 2007, AND WE WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN SOME WAY IN DRAFTING THE 33(9) THE [SECTION WHICH DEALS WITH] CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT SCHEME."

Q3) WHY WERE GOVERNMENT OFFICERS GIVING SPECIAL ATTENTION TO MR. MAYANK GANDHI? AND WHAT WAS SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT OR FAVORS EXCHANGED BY ROMF IN THE BARGAIN?

POINT:

MAYANK GANDHI QUOTES: " WE TOOK 233 ACRES, WHICH CONSISTED OF 2,200 BUILDINGS. WITHIN THAT, WE TOOK A 30-ACRE PIECE, WHICH CONSISTED OF 372 BUILDINGS. THAT IS WHY WE WERE THE FORERUNNERS, AND WE HAVE DONE A LOT OF WORK. WE ARE WORKING ON THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE CHIRA BAZAAR AREA. THIS INVOLVES PURCHASE OF PROPERTIES AND THE CONSENT OF TENANTS; A LETTER OF INTENT IS TO BE ISSUED TO ANYONE WHO BRINGS IN 70% OF EITHER. TODAY, WE HAVE MORE THAN 80% CONSENT OF THE TENANTS. SO WE HAVE APPLIED FOR THE LETTER OF INTENT, WHICH HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE HIGH-POWERED COMMITTEE."

Q4) HOW THEY GOT 30 ACRES PLOT WHICH CONSISTED OF 372 BUILDINGS? UNDER WHICH COMPANY THEY ACQUIRE THIS LAND? HOW MUCH MONEY THEY SPENT?  WAS ORIGINAL LEGALLY DRAFTED AFFIDAVIT OF 80 % TENANTS CONSENT SUBMITTED TO THE HIGH POWERED COMMITTEE? WHY NO TENDER WAS FLOATED BY THE GOVT.?  (MR. MILIND DEORA HAD RAISED THIS ISSUE WITH THE GOVT.)

POINT:

THERE WAS AN OBJECTION BY LOCAL TENANTS, TRADERS AND SHOPKEEPERS AND THEY FORMED  "FORUM FOR PROTECTION OF TRADE & RESIDENCE OF 'C' WARD" WAS FORMED TO PROTECT THE INTEREST OF TENANTS, SHOP KEEPER AND TRADERS AND ALSO LANDLORDS OF THAT AREA WHO WERE PART OF PROPERTIES OWNERS' ASSOCIATION (POA) PASSED A RESOLUTION, OBJECTING TO "ANYONE INTERMEDDLING WITH THEIR PROPERTIES, INCLUDING THE 'REMAKING OF MUMBAI FEDERATION', WHICH PROPOSED A PILOT PROJECT FOR CLUSTER REDEVELOPMENT OF DILAPIDATED BUILDINGS. THEY ALLEGED THAT THE REMAKING OF MUMBAI FEDERATION AND OTHERS IS AN EXERCISE TO PRESSURIZE THE GOVERNMENT, THROUGH MHADA/ MCGM, TO HANDOVER PRIVATE PROPERTIES FOR THEIR DEVELOPMENT AND SNATCH WHICH WOULD BE ENTIRELY UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND VIOLATION OF THE OWNER'S RIGHT INTERALIA TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN PROPERTY. THIS IS A MOVE TO DEPRIVE THE PROPERTY OWNERS OF THEIR VALUABLE PROPERTIES RUNNING INTO CRORES OF RUPEES FOR A PITTANCE AND TO FILL THE COFFERS OF THE DEVELOPER.

Q5) WHY LANDLORD AND TENANTS OF THAT AREA WAS WAS NOT TAKEN IN TO CONFIDENCE?

POINT:

SEVERAL PROMINENT PERSONALITIES INCLUDING SRI SRI RAVI SHANKAR AND JUSTICE BHAGWATI , DEEPAK PAREKH AND MANY OTHERS WERE MADE ITS PATRONS.

Q6) WAS THEIR WRITTEN CONSENT TAKEN BEFORE PUBLISHING THEIR NAMES IN NEWSPAPER ADVERTISING AND POSTERS AND IN MEETINGS?

POINT:

MAYANK GANDHI QUOTES: "THERE IS NO CORRUPTION, THERE IS NO MONEY, THERE IS NO PURCHASE OF LAND AND SALE OF LAND, WHERE IS CORRUPTION?"

Q7) HOW ROMF PROPOSAL WAS ACCEPTED? AND IF THERE IS NO CORRUPTION THEN HOW THE ROMF PROPOSAL WAS PASSED OR ACCEPTED IN PRINCIPLE? WERE THERE NO FAVORS EXCHANGED?

WE ALL KNOW THAT, NO BUILDER OR DEVELOPER IN INDIA CAN MOVE A FILE WITHOUT GIVING PERSONAL FAVOR OR ANY UNDER HAND DEALINGS. HOWEVER POLICIES WERE CHANGED TO FACILITATE ROMF TO DEVELOP AND ROMF IN RETURN GAVE IT TO THEIR OWN FAMILY COMPANY TO DEVELOP? WHY?

WAS THERE ANY PURCHASE OR ANY AGREEMENT MADE BY REMAKING OF FEDERATION (ROMF) IN A DIFFERENT NAME? WHY?

POINT:

THE STATE URBAN DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT HAS RAPPED THE CIVIC HIGH-POWERED COMMITTEE FOR NOT EXERCISING DUE DILIGENCE, WHILE CLEARING THE REMAKING OF MUMBAI FEDERATION (ROMF)'S AMBITIOUS 29-ACRE CLUSTER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT. IT HAS POINTED OUT THAT THE PROPOSAL WAS FORWARDED TO THE STATE WITHOUT ENSURING IRREVOCABLE CONSENT FROM TENANTS AND LANDLORDS ON STAMP PAPER.

Q8) IS IT TRUE THAT INITIALLY, HIGH POWERED COMMITTEE CLEARED THIS PROJECT OF 30 ACRES OF LAND IN THE CHIRA BAZAR AREA?

Q9) WHAT WAS A "SECRET DEAL" WAS IT DONE EXCLUSIVELY FOR ROMF? NO DEVELOPER OR BUILDER IN MUMBAI GET TO CLEAR ANY FILE WITHOUT ANY FAVOR ITS A KNOWN FACT. HOW ROMF WAS GIVEN A SUCH SPECIAL TREATMENT BY HIGH POWERED COMMITTEE?IS IT TRUE THAT THE MAHARASHTRA GOVERNMENT EVENTUALLY SCRAPPED THE PROJECT AND ORDERED FOR AN INVESTIGATION AGAINST LOK GROUP AND THE NGO?

Q10) APPLICATION FOR UNDERTAKING THE CHIRA BAZAR CLUSTER REDEVELOPMENT WAS MADE IN THE NAME OF REMAKING OF MUMBAI HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE FINANCE LTD (ROMHIFL) WHILE THE SANCTION FOR THE PROPOSAL WAS SOUGHT IN THE NAME OF REMAKING OF MUMBAI UNITY DEVELOPERS LTD (ROMUDL) IS THAT CORRECT? WHAT WAS THE ROLE OF ROMF THEN?

POINT:

MAYANK GANDHI IN HIS POSTERS AND PROMOTION ACTIVITIES HAD CERTIFICATE OF CHIEF MINISTER OF MAHARASHTRA, LATE SHRI VILASRAO DESHMUKH,NCPS SHRI SHARAD PAWAR AND SHRI R.R.PATIL, BJP'S GOPINATH MUNDE,RAJ PUROHIT AND SMT.JAWANTIBEN MEHTA, SRI SRI RAVI SHANKARNANA CHUDASAMA AND OTHER PROMINENT PERSONALITIES.

Q11) WHAT WAS THE IDEA OF DISPLAYING POSTERS AND ADS SHOWING THAT ROMF HAD A BLESSING OF ALL POLITICAL PARTIES AND PROMINENT PERSONALITIES?

Q12) WHAT'S THE CONNECTION BETWEEN 'REMAKING OF MUMBAI HOUSING INFRASTRUCTURE AND FINANCE LTD' (ROMHIF),REMAKING OF MUMBAI FEDERATION(ROMF) AND 'REMAKING OF MUMBAI DEVELOPMENT LTD(ROMD) AND LOK HOUSING LTD.?  HOW ROMF WHICH WAS A NO PROFIT NO LOSS NGO PASSED BENEFIT TO THEIR OWN FAMILY COMPANIES OF ROMHIF AND ROMD?

Q13) IF THE NGO ROMF DID THE GROUND WORK FOR CHIRA BAZAAR CLUSTER REDEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL FOR 3 YEARS ROUND THE CLOCK, THEN WHY ROMHIF AND LOK HOUSING ARE PAID RS 10 CR?

Q14) WHY IS THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ROMHIF AND UNITY DEVELOPERS (UDRL) ON RS 100/- STAMP PAPER? WHY REQUISITE STAMP DUTY OF 5% OF VALUE OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTIES/LAND/DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS IS NOT PAID ON THIS AGREEMENT WHICH IS IN THE NATURE OF DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT?

Point: Normally as per expert when such agreements are made and submitted to the authority stamp duty has to be paid on 30 acres of land which according to the expert it amounts to 120 crores on a value of 2500 crores as per ready reckoner rate.

Why it was made only 100 Rs stamp paper?

Q15) SINCE LOK HOUSING LTD (AS PER DIRECTORS REPORT) HAS 49% STAKE IN THE HOLDING COMPANY ROMD FOR ROMHIF, WHICH ENTITIES/PERSONS HAVE BALANCE 51% STAKE?

POINT:

ALL NAME STARTS WITH 'REMAKING OF MUMBAI'? WHICH MEANS NGO WAS ONLY HAD A WASTED COMMERCIAL INTEREST TO FAVOR THEIR OWN COMPANY BY USING BRAND NAME OF REMAKING OF MUMBAI, WHICH THEY CLAIM, HAD A SUPPORT OF MANY ASSOCIATION AND PROMINENT PERSONALITIES IN BEGINNING. AFTER WHICH THE SUPPORT OR ANY ASSOCIATION IS DENIED BY MOST OF THEM.

ALL ALLEGATION ABOVE SHOWS THAT THERE WAS A SECRET DEAL AND THERE WAS MISREPRESENTATION TO THE TENANTS AND LANDLORDS AND GOVT. DEPARTMENT AND RESIDENTS OF CHIRA BAZAR AND KALBADEVI BY TAKING PROMINENT PERSONALITIES NAME AND MISUSED THEIR POSITION TO GAIN UNDUE BENEFITS AND FOR PERSONAL GAIN AND POPULARITY.
MAYANK GANDHI USED POLITICAL PRESSURE THROUGH THEIR MHADA AND MCGM AGENCIES AND USED POLITICAL LEADERS CERTIFYING, AS IF THIS PROJECT ALREADY HAD A APPROVAL FROM ALL PARTIES.
ALL THE ABOVE FACT SHOWS THAT MAYANK GANDHI HAS MISUSED HIS STATURE AND POSITION IN THESE NGOS, TO UNDUE GAIN OF COMMERCIAL BENEFITS BY SUBMITTING FALSE TENANTS CONSENT LETTER ON PLAIN PAPER AND WANTED TO ACQUIRE HUGE LAND AND MASSIVE PROJECT BY MISREPRESENTATION OF FACTS.

All this details are there in a public domain and Mr.Maynk Gandhi who is now  heading IAC Mumbai can not deflect the questions which are raised by lots of people in public domain by saying that people are publicity hungry and people should go to court, file a FIR in that case what's a difference between Mayank Gandhi and other corrupt politician? Politician are saying the same thing to Team KEJRIWAL.

Why to avoid questions? No common man daily can go to court on every issue of corruption and allegations. If we are clean and our conscious are clear then why to hide or ignore the questions?

Instead of three member committee do the investigation Mayank should himself reply to these questions and let people judge whether he had committed any irregularities by false and misleading information and conceal the actual facts and intention in guise of ROMF,which is a No profit and No Loss NGO formed by him.If NGO was formed with noble intention then why all profit and development rights were given to his  family run development companies of lok housing ltd where Mayank Gandhi is an independent director?

Let the people of India judge this irregularities and come to conclusion...
