Re: [IAC#RG] RTI - Do we have the Right to Know Correct Date of Birth of Shri V K Singh?

I disagree that this is digging old graves. In fact, it is this tendency to not make waves and let things pass that allows corruption to thrive. The heads of Armed Forces, Executive and Judiciary are no small matter. It is our failing to hold things up to scrutiny and insisting on transparent decision making on matters of interest to the country that allows corruption to continue - indeed continue in a planned manner "if caught, weather it for a few days, it will pass".

Today, there was news that Lt. Col. Purohit continues to receive his salary in jail. Ajit Pawar is back in action in new and improved role after casually shrugging off his responsibility for the state of irrigation in Maharashtra. All these are also now old graves.

I think if one's best reason for not asking too many questions and rocking boats is to let sleeping dogs lie, then anti-corruption may not be the best goal to have.

I think the questions are fair enough and the whole episode stinks of the government pulling off a fast one in a brazen attack on one of the pillars of democracy. Perhaps it is not so, perhaps it is, but this needs to be clear, not left at whatever status quo gets pulled out of a hat of impunity.
