Re: [IAC#RG] RTI - Do we have the Right to Know Correct Date of Birth of Shri V K Singh?

Dear Nauni,
I fully agree with your views. Once SC has adjuvant end and given sufficient
Chance to previous COAS we must accept verdict with grace. I am sure if it was not acceptable to Gen VK Singh he would have tender his resignation. It is sufficient proof and let all veterans must forget this episode as a bad dream and strengthen the Present incumbent to perform to best capability and make The Army a great institution.
I admire Lt Gen Sinha Ex VCOAS.
He to resigned and still writes with eloquent arguments.

This mail some how was lying in "draft", still I feel its relevant and hope the unwarranted comments on the current and previous COAS stops for ever at least by the Veterans in Report My Signal. Right of comments or holding own views is NOT QUESTIONED but col Kurup, Sir at this stage raking up any issue for or against the COAS is seen in the bad taste and motivated.

What are you gentlemen trying to prove and whom are you trying to fool at this stage? The matter has been settled by the highest court of justice of the country. There have been extreme opinions till then but let all must show some grace and accept the fact that Gen Bikram Singh is the de- facto, de-jure Chief of the Indian Army. The Indian Army, unlike those who are trying to play political game under the garb of trying to be fighting for justice, has no two opinions on this any more. In fact those who are raking this issue should understand that Indian Army is a matured organization- apolitical and takes the appointment of the Chief as sacrosanct. They have firm belief in the merit and credibility of their Chief.
There are better issues to discuss those who think about the Army-issues like better facilities while in service and resettlement avenues, including latest arms and equipment.

There was no chance of Gen VK Singh loosing the case. I blame him for
choosing the wrong Advocate.  If you remember Gen VK Singh's Advocate
was even absent in one of the hearing and Mr.Jethmalani had saved he
situation. There was some mistakes in one of the applications filed by
him in the initial stage which was rectified before his commissioning
or immediately after commissioning.  The mistaken document was
redundant and had no value. I wish our Parliamentarians take up the
issue in case there is a change of government after next election.
