Re: [IAC#RG] India Broke

Dear Dr Arun Kumar

Since you are usually so lavish with praise for me, let me reciprocate.

IAC equally does not usually allow you to participate to the full extent that you would like for the following examples from your email.

1) The Indian economy already has hammered the poor into the ground, but you being a foreigner would not notice it.

2) Each and every person in India pays tax from time they are born to time till they die and are consumed. Nobody can avoid it.

I have been restraining myself from participating into IAC agendas which has little to offer
as far as clean governance in the central administration is concerned. However, this particular
mail has compelled me to share two important points:

  1. Indian economy is on the collision course and lots of poor will be affected very badly.
  2. Did you know that ONLY 3.5 crores citizen in India pay some taxes out of 125 crores of population?

Respectfully,

Dr. Kumar Arun

Forget India Shining, India Rising, Incredible India and all those other glorious feelgood dreams of India as worlds' #2 superpower after China to which some IronMan or IronLadywill lead us.

The fact of the matter is that India is broke, ie Bharat is kadka.

The only way out is SEVERE AUSTERITY MEASURES and BELT TIGHTENING NOW (before it is too late and we turn into a basket case like Italy or Greece).

Important decisions which should be taken NOW - like borrowing from the World Bank, IMF when credit is STILL AVAILABLE and India is not yet a basket case have to be taken NOW.

Somebody of impeccable integrity must ensure that the money is not SQUANDERED AWAY on POPULIST schemes but spent on the vital INFRASTRUCTURE India needs so badly.
