Re: [IAC#RG] Credit for Public Projects by Politicians should be banned

Its true that majority of people are not aware of the source of fund ,and many educated are not aware of the racket involved in it ,the public representative changes and so the granite, just the granite with golden words changes on the same old toilet with some what face lift
No additional expenditure not even a tube well for water

For every public project, right from toilet or footpath to bridges, politicians take credit. They make their name immortal for generations to come by having a beautiful plaque in granite with golden letters. If they were to use their own money for these projects then there is little to object. However when they use common mans hard earned money in the form of taxes, then it is absolutely wrong to take credit for it. On many occasions it is mentioned that the project is made from the Corprtr/MLA/MP Fund. This fund belongs to the citizens. It is wrong to make impression that it is their private property. An uneducated person may get carried away by this 'generosity' of their leader.
During election time the EC bans such publicity and the names are covered. We should have this rule all the time.
I feel that Court can ban this publicity is PIL is filed.
