Re: [IAC#RG] FW: UPA exposed to average Indians - Chitra Subramanian Duella

Dear Mr Sarbajit,

I am not convinced with your reply. My belief that you are hung up on Modi is getting stronger day by day. Your references to Modi alone confirms this.
Secondly, your soft corner for Congress seems to be evident from your silence on Chitra Subramanian's interview (Titled Quattrocchi's Gravy Trian), completely devoted to Bofors Deal. Inspite of my pointing out that Mr Kumar probably erred in clubbing it with Kedarnath problem, you have found it convenient to ignore it. Wonder how otherwise the complete story appearing in Kumar's email escaped your notice.
I feel there is a need on your part to be sensitive to readers' feelings. You need to assure that the moderators do not suppress any stories. If they do, it amounts to censorship. It seems evident from some mails that anything derogatory to Congress is being withheld; this must be based on their experiences.
Lastly, it seems to me that you have unnecessarily enlarged the scope/purview of IAC by giving an indication that you can investigate and correct the politicians.  At one stage when some of us pointed out that we should not discuss religion here, you emphatically
said "NO". With your limited resources, I feel you are trying to eat more than what you can digest. Please give it a thought.
Regards.

Dear Air Commodore Pannu

1. There is nothing authentic in public domain to show that Mr. Vadra owns an Air Charter company which demanded Rs.2 lakhs (or even 1 rupee) to ferry persons/bodies in the Uttarakhand disaster.

2. IAC is apolitical. We don't have a soft corner for anybody - its pure business - our contempt for democratic systems is well known and publicly stated. Anybody who has negotiated with us knows that we don't leave even one drop behind for someone else to squeeze. Come election time, for a reliable seller, the more buyers there are in the market the better. The 2014 election is going to be very good for people who deal with anyone. For instance, in the recent WB panchayat poll the CPM candidates were prepared to pay upto Rs. 95,000 per vote in certain panchayats whereas TMC was only prepared to pay around Rs. 20,000 (of course these are exceptional rates in some prestige contests) . And this is only for a PANCHAYAT poll.

3. Modi loses ground while BJP streaks ahead

A recent survey by CNN-IBN and CSDS claims that only about 18% Indians want to see Chief Minister Narendra Modi as India's next Prime Minister.

The maximum approval for Modi outside his state comes from upper caste college educated Hindus. A whopping 88% of BJP supporters from Gujarat seem to back Modi for PM. However, the small sample size of only 910 respondents from Gujarat renders this survey somewhat dubious, although it claims as many Gujaratis (64%) believe Modi's government is corrupt as much (66%) as they believe the Central UPA-II government is too.

The BJP, however, appears to be doing much better in Gujarat than their Chief Minister who is slipping. The party is likely to gain 7% if elections were held today versus a 5% slippage for Modi personally.

4. If anyone wants to promote / deride Mr. Modi, I suggest this is the place to go to www.narendramodiplans.com or email info@narendramodiplans.com

Dear Mr Sarbajit,

While appreciating your gesture of finding time to attend to the points raised by me, I regret to mention that you have not done justice. Please go over the problem once again.
Mr Kumar Arun fwded the mail from another Mr Kumar making a request as follows:-

(Reaching Citizens of India for RTI approach through you, please do forward)

I guess he approached you with the intention that you, being the Convenor of IAC, will be able to help. The same intention seemed repeated in the mail from Mr Vijoy Ambasta. In my opinion, the appropriate reply would have been as stated by Mr Devender Thakur. It would have been appreciated if you had taken a similar stand & advised the affected party accordingly instead of splitting hair. I rate you very high in my estimation & expect you to know that corruption/bribery thrives thru benami transactions by the highups. Merely saying that no plane was " lent" by Mr Vadra (since he owns none) has no meaning. I can agree that the report may be false but the way it is chosen to be disposed off is not fair. Secondly, the way you expressed your feelings about Modi smacks of your strong bias against the man (Incidently, I am neither pro nor anti-Modi).
The second point was about Chitra Subramanian's interview; agreed that Mr Kumar erred in clubbing it with the first one. If I could sense the error, there should have been no problem for you (sitting at such a high pedestal) to make it out but you chose not to say even a word about the serious topic covered by her. Instead, you again appeared to confirm your bias against Modi by bringing him in whereas there was no mention of Modi anywhere in the interview. Will you please read it again.
I am disappointed, Mr Sarbajit. The justice should not only be done but should also appear to be done. Of late, I have started getting an impression that you, though claiming to be apolitical, seem to have soft corner for persons (politicians) in/close to power but try to hide it. Will appreciate if you can correct my perception.
Lastly, I wish to draw your attention to the following links. This may help you to have a re-think on Modi; he seems to be standing tall among the lot.
