Re: [IAC#RG] Congress tables RTI Amendment Bill 2013 in Lok Sabha

Dear Navnith

I can only present facts and TRUTH. If you don't want to acknowledge them I cannot do anything about it. Believe it or not I am deeply apolitical and I don't fear God (but love and adore him).

Shailesh Gandhi:

I did not say that Satyananda Mishra is slimy and corrupt. I said he is a slimy chap and that his DECISION is corrupt. He may well be a God-fearing (corrupt people generally are), but that does not make him honest. One of the sure signs of a dishonest officer is how many photos of deities and babas he has in his office. Initially I also had a good opinion of him, but in the last 1 year he has changed a lot, perhaps with an eye on his next prize assignment (eg. Wajahat Habibullah was made Chairman of National Minority Commission).

The amount of CIC files which have disappeared while SM was CIC is not a joke. Recently SM cancelled a series of very important RTI appeals against the judiciary (appeals pending for 3 years now and files repeatedly going missing) of another IAC G-Sec scheduled for hearing last week because of a last moment phone call from PMO (Pankaj Shreyaskar is specially put there for that purpose). As expected PMO's poodle Subhash Chandra Agrawal has used that time to file a copy-cat complaint which will be heard before IAC's will.

The last time I appeared before CIC(SM) (in IAC's CBI matter for Dr. Sandeep Gupta) in March (?) 2013 he specially took time to coach the PIO on how to handle the hearing over the video-conferencing link - I could see and hear it through his partly open office door, and only then was I called into his chamber for the hearing to start officially. Throughout the hearing CIC(SM) was arguing for the PIO and blatantly spoon-feeding him on what to say as we were very well prepared for the matter. The decision that day does not at all reflect what transpired in SM's chamber as matters got so ugly/vicious that the video-link to Mumbai had to be switched off as nobody could answer my submissions.

So please don't tell me SM is honest. A man is known by his work. While he was in DoPT as Secy. he was firmly against file notings in RTI, when he became CIC he was all in favour of file notings in RTI. These are all hollow light-weight "pajama" people who dangle in the prevailing wind. What is the point of RTI when such people are appointed as Chief Info Commissioner only to deny us our info dues? Far better that RTI Act be scrapped.

Last year I could not ask SM about all these things at CIC's National Convention (he was unwell - dengue). This year I am sure that he will not invite me - as the Convention (which citizens ultimately pay for) was preponed (just 1 day before his retirement) so that he can go out in a blaze of fake/paid media adulation and "Indian barking dogs" are not welcome there to piddle on him.

Dear Sarbajit,

Your answer raises more questions than answers. You may be having your personal axe to grind  against Shailesh Gandhi and CIC,Satyanandan Misra ,one of the outstanding,God fearing and honest IAS officers(Retd.).I know Misra atleast for the past one decade.(You have described him slimy and corrupt).
May I ask you.If CIC order does not meet the Letter of Law,why the aggrieved parties did not approach the Courts for redressal? Why they all went together for an amendment in Parliament?
You are knowledgable, but apperas to be using it for diabolical plans to abuse those whom you do not like and misguide.
