Re: [IAC#RG] Yet another "foreigner" to rule over us.

Dear Devinder

Irrespective of my personal views on such issues, I have to reply on behalf of a popular resistance movement which is backed by a century+ old patriotic revolutionary force which has a very fixed /  immutable ideology (carved in stone).

As summarised in IAC's manifesto,

"The primary goal of the IAC is to denounce and drive out foreign rulers of India and also their imperialist lackeys. As foreigners have no right to rule over Hindustanis, their agencies and dynasties must be expelled by all means so that Swaraj is established in Hindustan."

Please note that this ideology is non-negotiable for IAC. Nobody who disagrees with the above can ever be a member of IAC (you can be a subscriber). Let me also clarify that I am not a member of IAC.

Let me also further divulge that the core membership of IAC is furious at Mr. Rahul Gandhi's reported statement last year (after the Congress's UP debacle) that he is a "Brahmin". Unless this outrageous statement is justified  in RTI  (very unlikely) or withdrawn, Congress Party is equally unlikely to be getting IAC's (substantial) votes or sympathy cheaply. Indian Citizenship can be purchased but not all Hindustan's castes.

The statement of Mr. Rajan at the Pravasi meet of 2005 I excerpted in an early post on this issue also has to be read in the same light.

Real India doesn't need or want such questionable persons in operational positions. There is no shortage of equally, if not better, meritorious people in India (who don't have godfathers like Mr. Rajan) who are overlooked. Our IITs and IIMs are not subsidised by the Indian Tax-payer to be factories to churn out mid-level executives for the West. If Mr. Rajan is so good he should be heading up the Fed. Why isn't he ?

Regarding your comments about having an MP of Italian origin in the Lok Sabha. Do you not read the emails on these links and the insult and charges which are hurled at her on a daily basis. Regards Devinder

What sort of logic is this ?

An UK CITIZEN of Indian Origin can sit in the House of Lords/Commons but cannot sit in Lok Sabha or be a Minister here.

An Indian Citizen of Italian origin can sit in Lok Sabha and also in Italian Senate and even become PM of Italy.

Therefore an American Citizen of Indian origin is free to become Governor of the Bank of England or Bank of Italy but not of RBI  and cannot become Prez of USA ?

I give up, you win. I cannot argue with such impeccable logic.

There has to be a limit to narrow minded thinking. People of Indian origin are sitting in the House of Lords and commons in the UK and senators in America. and no one is bothered about it. Why can't a most suitable American  individual of Indian origin can not become the governor of the Reserve Bank of India.??  Devinder

Dear Brig

How is your dear Mr (Tamilian) Rajan related to you. Is it through his RAW father or did you also get a share in the US Government Grants repeatedly given to Dr. Rajan from US Federal Funds which as per the "conflict of interest" Chapter IV-A guidelines on NSF website is only given to individuals with US citizenship.

Now the CIA backed BJP and Congis have joined forces to get this US citizen made as our RBI Governor. MM Joshi has expectedly asked a query in RS and will be given a xerox of RR's Indian passport. (This does not mean he does not have a {secret} US one also).

BJP/CIA barking dogs had better apply the same standards to Rajan's citizenship / passports as they do to Sonia's.

It is stupid to assume the RBI GOVERNOR is a foreigner. Yes he has gone abroad to study for furthering his prospects and he has really done well every where he went. I hope he will do well in this assignment as well.  You cannot compare him to others we all refer time and again and glorify them for all wrong reasons
