Re: [IAC#RG] Is Mizoram a stepchild of Bharat Mata ?

Dear Ms. Ete

There are actually 2 issues here in Mr. Mayank Pal's post which are
being subtly superimposed to confuse and trap the unwary.

1) The disinterest of "India" in the N-E States and vice-versa

2) The issue of whether the N-E states (connected only by the thinnest
of chicken necks) are children of some fiction known as "Bharat Mata"
(An Anglo-Saxon confection to integrate native tribals and soldiers
into the armies of the East India Co.and propagated later by Bengali
writers like Bankim with his Vande Mataram and Anand Math). Let me be
brutally frank --> Bharat Mata originated as a euphemism for Empress
Victoria and the Indian Army's war cry "Bharat Mata ki Jai" was for
the Queen Empress and nobody else
