RE: [IAC#RG] Is Mizoram a stepchild of Bharat Mata ?

Dear friend,

Lokayat magazine cares for the North-East. Please see the cover page of the magazine and a story inside on Mizoram on page 18-19. Read the article on Mizoram by clicking the link below:

On the right hand side margin in the middle there is an arrow like tab, by clicking it, new pages can be accessed.

Thanks for extending cooperation in bringing out the magazine

All the policies of Government of India for NorthEast are concerned about one particular aspect and that is the security. Besides, Northeast is virtually disconnected from other parts of India and the only remaining link is 'chicken neck'.
The another part of the story is 'vice versa' in what Mr. Sarbajit said 'The disinterest of "India" in the N-E States and vice versa'. The desire of ethnic and regional identity have created a climate of insurgency in NE.

Both of these have put NE aside from mainstream of India.

Does anyone know who is Chief Minister of Mizoram ? The common answer is 'NO' but everyone knows who is ruling Delhi, M.P., Rajasthan and Chattisgarh.
All these five states are going into poll next month but Mizoram is completely out of the sight of electronic media. No talk shows are being arranged in Mizoram no reporter is going there to ask public opinion. In fact no opinion poll was conducted for Mizoram, though it is banned by EC now.
Is not Mizoram being treated as stepchild ? I believe 'Yes it is'. There might be so many reasons for why North East is always taken away from main stream media. Might be a possibility is that it does not give enough revenue but it can not be a sole cause.
But whatever the reason be, it is an integral part of India and Indians from other regions do have right to know about it.
This kind of behavior is really unexpected and it should not be allowed anymore.
