Re: [IAC#RG] Lessons from these 5 election results

Here is the BJP stand on IPC Sec. 377:
Quote
Reiterating its support to the Supreme Court order recriminalizing consensual sex among gay adults, BJP said it favoured the verdict and would not support any "unnatural act".

"What Rajnath Singh has said is the official stand. We have a culture and tradition and this goes against it. One cannot allow a new culture of this kind," BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Sunday, adding that homosexuality was against the established norms of society.

But, I still don't get the whole EVM tampering bit (I am assuming here that you ARE making this claim) - did the Congress want to get decimated in Rajasthan and MP, even if one assumes that it was playing the long game in Delhi?
All the state elections have shown is that the BJP is on a definite upswing in North India, and it will take a super majority of the MPs in these states - UP being the wild card, where it may get a third. So, how does getting humiliated in Raj and MP help the congies?

RE: Section 377 - actually, no, they have not come out in support of the SC judgement either. Only statement was from Sushama Swaraj saying that the Congress should take all parties into confidence, if it wants to amend 377.  And, the newly inducted (insane) Subramanian Swamy saying that Homosexuality is a mental disorder. Bunch of medieval jokers.

=====================
Why do people vote for the BJP?
Hopes of jobs? Better implementation of infrastructure projects? Ability to move from unremunerative agriculture to better paying jobs in towns?

Unfortunately, without the calming and sobering influence of Vajpayee, it is increasingly evident that the BJP is the fascist flip side of the leftist Congress - both are socialist to the core, only one supports crony capitalists, while the other supports crony "aam admis" and dubious redistribution schemes.

Anyway, this question was not to you, but all the BJP sympathisers on this forum. Given their attack on our life and liberty, why should anyone support them?

Well I don't know how to reply WHY people would vote for the BJP.
You tell me !!

Is there any other logical explanation except for "Tampered EVMs"
which would  give such a perfect result in Delhi for the Congress ?

There's no point anybody "coming down" on side of individuals.
Its all make-believe. Like Congress "gave" people "RTI Act" (and
now "Lokpal") but forgot to give Information Commissioners.

In fact this shows that Congress is the worst at this sort of thing
where they run with the hare and hunt with the hounds. At least
with parties like SP or BSP or AIDMK etc you don't have to deal
with such hypocrisy and it all comes down to money.

Where is BJP in hiding on section 377 ? They have clearly said
the law is correct and agreed with the Supreme Court judgement.
