Re: [IAC#RG] Be the part of history in reforming the judiciary

I share Gerson's view.It's a wonderful initiative

For too long, legal processes have resembled a (rigged) lottery, besides
taking for ever to conclude. I've often wondered by just how much our
GDP has been reduced becase of never-court processes and stay after
stay after stay.Wish a Supreme Court Chief Justice would wield the axe
to "judicial crawl" rather than just follow CJI Verma in making the
judiciary independent of every other constitutional authority by
reference to an Invisible Constitution seen only by himself.
Finally,while we have a reasonably democratic Constitution,we have a
hugely regressive 19th century Police Act and an Indian Penal
Code, besides laws that belong to a colony rather than to a free
people. Sadly,Manmohan Singh has worsened the situation by giving
sundry authorities the right of arrest even in trivial circumstances,a
right used not to arrest but to extort
