Re: [IAC#RG] FW: Khejrival

Dear Mr Sheshadri,

I am sorry to barge into this debate but since this is a public platform, i am taking the liberty of expressing myself.

While there is harm in having faith in a new political party, i am worried about the way u are over estimating the prospects of AAP. AAP has been utterly dishonest to the popular mandate in delhi. Irrespective of the seats won by them or BJP, one msg was clear that people voted out Congress and Kejri has betrayed that mandate by forming a govt with the Congress's support. What baffles me more is that AAP owes its existence to its anti-conrruption stance manifested by Dixit's Govt in Delhi, Kejri fought elections on that plank and now has no qualms in accepting their support for power! How diff is this from Sharad Pawar? He formed NCP to oppose Sonia's foreign origin but then joined hands with her to form a govt. It is nothing more than lust for power in both the cases and that surely is not a virtue.

Sir, you also say that we should give Kejri some time to prosecute Dixit. Wasnt Kejri the same guy who flaunted files in public meetings saying he has a ready water-tight case againat her? What happened now? Has the exigencies of governance made him week-kneed? Are u serious when u say that u he will act againat Congress misdeeds when his govt is dependant on the crutches provided by the Congress. We perhaps exist in two diff worlds then!

While I agree with you that it is too early to judge their governance, i use the same logic to question your faith in his capabilities. He has proven ziltch in governance in a city state and you are harping on his credentials on a national platform! Quite amazing.

Let us analyze the last election result. It was clearly a vote against the Congress all over. People rejected them outright across the board. As a result, BJP retained MP n Chhattisgarh beating an imminent anti-incumbency and wrested Rajasthan. In Delhi, the angst against Congress got divided between BJP & AAP and so a hung assembly. It is a different story that Kejri, purely for lust of power, allowed Congress a back door entry. The mood of the nation vis-a-vis the Congress no different now. I will therefore NEVER VOTE FOR AAP NOW PURELY BECAUSE THEY WILL ONCE AGAIN ALIGN WITH CONGRESS, AS THEY DID IN DELHI. I rather go with the BJP n Modi because he is currently the ONLY anti-Congress alternative.

The AAP wave is a media-built story. AAP has displayed a clear ethical and moral bankruptcy by forming a govt with congress support, have forgotten their anti-corruption agenda once in power for obvious reasons, have shown amateur ministerial conduct and they have nothing to show towards a good governance. I dont know then what is so different about them and what is this hoopla around them all about?

To me, Kejri n AAP is nothing more than the last tool available with the Congress to stop the surge of the BJP n Modi. You can choose to call AAP whatever you please to; a proxy for the Congress or its B-team but it doesnt deserve any better.

Thanks,
Anurag Katriar
