Re: [IAC#RG] I wish to apply for email IDs of "nic(dot)in".

Dear Sarbajit Roy ji,
You always stay on top of what is in our best interests + critically so on account of the nation's internal security.
Pray and hope we hear from the system.
Best regards & Peace.

Dear Sir / Madam

I am a private (ie. civilian) citizen of India.

I am pleased to learn from NIC website [url: http://www.nic.in/services/Messaging] that the Union of India has installed and "streamlined the e-mail services by adopting a single virtual e-mail server for the whole nation and is achieving address resolution in such an environment, and hence, it was decided to give the entire email addressing space in NICNET as "[at]nic[dot]in".

As I am given to understand that the emails with "@GOV.IN" email IDs are now reserved for government officers and departments whereas the "@NIC.IN" is for the Indian public to exchange emails without our emails leaving Indian territory, I would be obliged if you could inform me the tariff, applicable policies and other conditions for availing "@NIC.IN" email IDs and any discounts allowed for bulk registrations.

Kindly treat this matter as most urgent as I am quite reluctant to trust my sensitive data and emails to foreign email providers like GMAIL and Yahoo etc.

Thanking you,

yours faithfully

Sarbajit Roy
