RE: [IAC#RG] IAC's position on homosexualtity

3/10/14
Sir,
Why have we to judge everything in terms of legality? Has ethics and morality no role in living life?
Education today is mainly to prepare one to get suitable employment in the chosen field. It does not open the mind to judge what is right and what is wrong. And even when we know something is wrong we hesitate to take a stand for fear of censorship by others.
About S. Roy,s post I am only repeating what he knows. The judges in Superior courts in US are recommended by the President for appointment and confirmed by the Senate. The Republican President before the present incumbent had made some recommendations which did not find favour with democrats and a compromise was reached. Obviously there was some thing to do with the orientation of the judges.
Judges are also human and not infaliable.

One doesn't know the legalities of the issue in discussion. Wonder why some ppl are so vehemently against whatever.
Am sure this is a very personal matter. Our Parliamentarians can watch unmentionable when session is on and Our women are not safe to be out after dark..We are truly in the dark ages.Nasserudin Shah just mentioned on CNN ibn talk abt his book that he lost precious time he cld spend with his father due to his career choice.Apparently father refused to accept.
What is all the education worth if doesn't open the world n mind to us.
Regards to all.

Dear Brother Naisadh

Since Ld. Shanti Bhushan ji  raised name of Justice AP Shah.

Is it not curious that on 22.Dec.2010 Justice Shah was at IIC with the people who were defending the Navy War room case accused ?

And immediately after his retirement was an expert for them.

The "independent law researcher" who is widely known to have actually written much of the 2009 judgment is the spouse of the other judge in that decision. But it is Justice AP Shah who gets appointed to the Law Commission for this "bold" judgment.

Is it not curious that the father of the Ford Foundation representative for India is a former Chief of Naval Staff. The links between the Ford Foundation and CIA have been chronicled by so many experts that I don't need to do so.

Perhaps we should amend the definition of adultery in 497 IPC to include all extra-marital sex, including prostitution ?

IAC already has a position on prostitution - submitted by IAC to Justice Verma Commission on 5.01.2013. We have called for decriminalisation of prostitution for both seller and buyer of these services. Obviously we did not comment on wider issues of say married persons, because the present law permits what is known as "wife swapping" or a husband pimping his wife etc..

I can say so many more (100% true) things on how that 2009 judgment was contrived except that Contempts Act and laws of defamation come in the way.

Hi,

In the first place, there is no COMMUNITY called LGBT community.

This term LGBT Community" is a media creation.

Medical conditions apart, LGBT has nothing that entitles it to be branded as a community. For medical disability, sympathetic care may be personally accorded just like in cases of other disease such as AIDS, Brest Cancer, Polio to alleviate it. It can be generally adopted as legalised practice for all and healthy.

Same sex preference is a personal orientation of like & dislike. There are so many areas of personal orientation which are left to personal discretion in privacy. Its public revelation may not be encouraged by enactment.

State can not encourage homosexuality by facilitating it in law. Will it be legal if a woman marries a man, have a family of her own and then engage in legalised homosexuality with several persons including female, shemale and medically incapable men? In essence, it is not adultery?

Vice versa for men. Married men with family, actively seeking open relationship with other than (married/unmarried) women, will neither be polygamy nor adultery.

Will such courtship be recognised as a legal ground for divorce or succession of estate?

So far as senior officials in position of power amenable to blackmail is concerned, there is no guarantee that they will act with integrity while in intimate sexual relationship with homo or hetero gender. You are proposing a deceptive Utopian concept that once homosexuality is legalised, everything will turn into Ram Rajya globally.

Don't fall for the Suvarn Mrugya or else Ravan will abduct loyal Sita.

Why destabilise the whole society order for a few person's individual orientation? Do you think, all this is being orchestrated globally in last two years just because universal consciousness has awakened for homosexuality? LOL!
