Re: [IAC#RG] MP versus Soldier

5/1/16

Dear Mr. S. Roy

OK Noted. But then what in your opinion is the way forward to put pressure on Parliament, and the P.M. to prevent the proposed in crease in their salary and perks.

When AK  increased the salary and perks of his flock, there was hardly any protest from any quarter including IAC.

So perhaps the MPs have taken a cue that if it is OK for Delhi MLAs, it is OK for them as well.

2. You seem to have gone soft on the ommission/commission of AAP perhaps on the ground of non-interference in the internal affairs of AK and the party.

In that we cannot comment on the the affairs of any other party like congress and BJP as well.

3.Today we do not know who are our enemies and who are our friends. Is it not equally true that there are no permanent friends and enemies in politics

4. I feel no useful purpose will be served by making the 1962 debacle report public. We all know it was the folly of the then Prime Minister who wanted to teach a lesson without knowing his own strength and weakness and being equally ignorant of the adversary ,giving the command to one of his incompetent Generals and

making krishna Menon and the nation pay the price . It will only affect the morale of the Armed forces .

But the P.M has decided to make the files relating to Netaji public here and other countries as well.It was along pending issue agitating the mind of the family and the public at large.

Dear Mr. Gaur

The IAC is not interested, at the present time, in direct action of the nature you suggest.

The circumstances of 2011-12 cannot be replicated today. Those who are trying are deluding themselves.

There are periodic waves, with ebbs and crests, IAC (and its parent HRA) knows very well how to read the affairs of men. which taken at the flood leads on to fortune

IAC also recalls the words of Sun-Tzu

"KNOW YOURSELF, KNOW YOUR ENEMY
A HUNDRED BATTLES, A HUNDRED VICTORIES"

PS: This quotation if I recall it was, aptly, on the front page of the Henderson-Brooks Bhagat report on the 1962 debacle, and it is very curious that our (now exposed as puppet) PM is carrying on the Congress traditions and keeping this report "secret".

Go on strike against such demands should be the mantra.
If 44 MP's from congress can demostrate outside parliament and prevent its functioning, what prevents I.a.c from repeating huge demonstration as it did in 2012 when parliament convenes in Feb. For budget session.
We have already missed an opportunity when kejriwal increased salary.perks and entitlements to his flock.

Seven reasons why Modi should stop salary hikes for MPs

Large scale public dissatisfaction

The behaviour of MPs inside Parliament resulting in repeated disruption of proceedings have lowered the image of MPs amongst the people. Considering the poor standards maintained by them in the Parliament, people think they do not deserve any hike in salary and perks. Such public perception can be readily seen in social media and in several national surveys in recent times. Modi government should necessarily understand the public mood and avoid taking unpopular decision to hike the income of MPs. If Modi govt. would permit such hike, people’s unhappiness  would become as much with Modi govt as with MPs.
