Re: [IAC#RG] Reply: COMPLAINT : Why new RBI notes imply Hindi speakers are dirty people ?

Mr Sarbajit Roy,

A few slip ups in your mail:

1. Firstly, the 2nd issue for which you have thanked the RBI Gov- 'That exchange scheme for the OHD notes into other denominations will continue by RBI even beyond 31 Dec 2016.'- is questionable.

2. Part of the trailing mail in your e mail shows that the reply has been given to you by publicquery@rbi.org.in The question arises how can a response to a public query be confidential.

3. It is also seen that the reply from rbi states that RBI's CONFIDENTIAL REPLY CANNOT BE DISCLOSED TO PUBLIC. Of course there is no content in the form of confidential reply seen.

Overall, I smell something fishy here.

regards

ravi

Governor RBI

I thank you for promptly replying to me and at least assuring me as follows_

a) That RBI and Banks have enough small notes like Rs. 100 and Rs. 50 so that citizens will not be forced to accept Rs. 500 and Rs 2000 with these obnoxious racist slogans.

b) That exchange scheme for the OHD notes into other denominations will continue by RBI even beyond 31 Dec 2016.

sincerely
