I did not know that you could make such stupid comments! Haven't you heard of the age old quip : all is fair in love and war? If you have the guts go there and face the stone pelters (but just a word of caution: there is another wise quip- there is no point in reciting vedas before a charging buffalo!). The retired generals and their ilks who compared Gen Rawat with Gen Dyer have been the curse of the only organisation in the country whose members actually do or die in their professional roles!

From what I can make out from the discussions here:- COAS apparently
personally commended Major Gogoi for the illegal action of tying this
innocent civilian to a jeep and driving him around for 5 hours. And
even if COAS did not intend it that way, the timing was certainly
"stupid".
